Cardio/Fitness Class Descriptions
 
GROUP FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Cardio Intervals
An aerobic workout without using the step. Intervals of cardio with upper and lower body exercises, which
also include abdominals and core strength training at the end.


Step Intervals
Try an intense workout that alternates intervals with step choreography and muscle conditioning. Guaranteed
to challenge your strength and endurance.

Mat Pilates
This class stretches and strengthens the entire dynamic core using controlled movements. Pilates is famous
for promoting flexibility, strength, circulation, and skeletal alignment (posture).

Ball Pilates
Challenge the core like never before utilizing the stability ball. Sure to add a new dimension to Pilates training
by providing you with improved core strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility.

Totally Pumped
Designed to give you functional results! Using various, high repetitions movements every major muscle group
gets attention. This is a strength based training class; it will get you “pumped” and stronger!

Group Cycle
A great cardio workout from the beginner to the advanced. A high energy class that uses RPM’s to get the
heart pumping. Go ahead and burn 500 calories in 45 minutes!! Reservations required!

Gliding
This class incorporates body sculpting, balance, flexibility, core, and cardio using 2 gliding discs. Progressive
movements strengthen and lengthen muscles and allows for a more optimal range of motion.

Cardio Kick Box
Reduce stress & increase cardiovascular fitness by working out utilizing punches, jabs, and kicks performed
and set to music. This is a high energy workout that will increase your stamina, coordination and strength.

Yoga
Learn how to de-stress and breathe while developing the mind –body connection. More than just physical
postures, this transformational practice will relax your body, calm your mind and strengthen your spirit from
within.

Abs/Core
This class is designed for all levels and abilities. You will develop strong abdominals (stomach) while using
more than 45 muscles in the lower back and hip complex. Learn techniques to prevent injury due to poor
posture, re-educate muscles to do functional work they should be doing! All of your strength and power
comes from your “core”.

Cardio/Stability Ball
This class blends cardio for the first 30 minutes to the get heart pumping and the second 30 minutes is
strength-training exercises using the ball or stabilizing yourself on the ball utilizing weights or your own body.
What a combination.

Cross Training
This class adds variety to your fitness program by utilizing weights, aerobic exercises, and
flexibility. Because you won’t be using the same muscles in the same way all the time you may experience
fewer overuse injuries and there is a less likelihood for burnout.

Step/Glide/Muscle
Quick moving cardio intervals of step and Gliding Discs combined with strength and abdominals.

Boot Camp
Boot camp combines calisthenics, strength training, cardio endurance, agility drills and much more to give
participants a full-body workout that is sure to get results.

Salsa and Chips
An energetic, upbeat cardio class based on Salsa dance steps. This class is designed for all ages and levels. The Gliding discs are also utilized in this class to give you a complete workout.
