Pilates Class Schedule

MAT & BALL PILATES
All classes are suited for the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced student. Ball Pilates incorporates the mat exercises with the extra challenge of functional core training on the stability ball. This class is suggested after you have attended the mat Pilates classes and feel you have progressed to the next level.

WHAT IS PILATES?
A program developed by Joseph Pilates to create a healthy body and mind, as well as a healthy life with balance. He believed the mind controls the body and the spirit builds the body. Mat Pilates is a group of exercises performed to create length, strength and flexibility, improving balance, stability and agility.

WHAT IS BALANCE OF BODY AND MIND?

We should recognize the mental functions of the mind and the physical limitations of the body so that complete coordination between them may be achieved. Not mind or body but mind and body. PILATES IS NON-COMPETITIVE. YOU LEARN TO LISTEN AND RESPECT WHAT YOUR BODIES ARE TELLING YOU!!

MAT PILATES

Level I - Basic
Students who are new or fairly new to Pilates Mat.

Level II - Intermediate
Students who have participated in Pilates Mat sessions on a regular basis (2 x 3 times per week) for the last one to three months.

Level III - Advanced
Students who have participated in Pilates Mat sessions on a regular basis (2 - 3 times per week) for the last three to six months.

BALL PILATES
Challenge the core like never before! Pilates using the stability ball and weights, reinforcing the use of body alignment, balance and core control.

C.J. Eaton
Certifications:  AFAA

CJ has been an instructor for over 23 years, 12 of them at Loggerhead. She teaches Group Cycle and other Cardio/Fitness classes. She is a registered nurse specializing in women’s and children’s healthcare.

 
Lisa Hyman
Certifications: AFAA, Pilates Institute of America, Silver Sneakers, Zumba 

Lisa has been practicing Pilates and yoga for the past 20 years. She loves to dance and her hobby is refurbishing houses. She has a blended family of 5 children and recently became a grandmother
