Loggerhead Fitness voted Palm Beach County’s #1 health and fitness club two years in a row offers a wide variety of fitness classes including aerobics, Pilates classes, step aerobics, kickboxing classes, gliding, group cycle classes, belly dancing, tai chi and more to the Juno Beach, Jupiter, and North Palm Beach communities.

The Cardio-Fitness program at Loggerhead Fitness offers variety of opportunities to help keep you active and fit. Our Group Fitness classes provide the perfect environment that’s non- intimidating and designed to help you reach your fitness goals.

GREAT TEACHERS MAKE GREAT CLASSES!
All of our instructors are nationally certified and must complete the necessary continuing educational hours to stay on top of the latest trends and to meet your needs. They are also required to be AED and CPR certified.

OVER 45 CLASSES EACH WEEK
We offer a variety of classes suited for everyone’s fitness levels from the beginner to the advanced athlete. All classes with the exception of Group Cycle are included in the membership. If you don’t see something suitable for your needs, please let us know and we will make every effort to accommodate your requests.

INSTRUCTOR BIOS

Julie Johnson - Personal Trainer / Group X

Julie attended the University of Florida and earned a master’s degree in Food and Resource Economics, but she has always had a passion for fitness. Now Julie is focusing on helping others meet their fitness goals. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Fran Indellicati - Personal Trainer / Group X

Certifications: NASM-CPT

Fran is certified thru NASM (National Academy of Science Medicine) in wellness & fitness training, group exercise instruction, core & functional fitness, water aerobics as well as being trained in the Tivity Silver Sneakers program.  She also studies the ancient practice of Qigong/Tai-chi and became certified thru the Supreme Science Foundation in Orlando, FL in 2012; she even has certification in Food-based Healing thru that organization. After working in the healthcare industry as a medical assistant in orthopedics for several years, she transitioned to the fitness industry back in 2013 because of a strong desire to help individuals, at whatever stage in their life, follow a more wholesome and sustainable lifestyle.

Heidi Hendrix - Group X / Personal Trainer

Certifications include: Personal Training / Sports Nutrition & Body Composition / Lifestyle & Behavioral Coaching / Fitness BOOTCAMP / Group Exercise / ZUMBA / ZUMBA TONING / Pilates. Heidi began teaching fitness back in 1986 as a dance instructor. Today she works as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She enjoys encouraging individuals to take charge of their responsibility for their health and wellness and it inspires her to do the same.

C.J. Eaton - Group X - Cycle & Yoga & Pump

Certifications: AFAA.

CJ has been an instructor for over 31 years, 20 of them at Loggerhead. She teaches Group Cycle, Cardio Fitness and Yoga classes. She is a registered nurse specializing in women’s and children’s healthcare.

Jacey Barnes - Group X & Group Cycle

Jacey grew up in Boca Raton and attended St. Andrews School where she played soccer, tennis, volleyball, and field hockey. She is certified in Fitness Training from The American Council on Exercise (ACE) and has been teaching since 2000.  Certifications include cycling, step, kick box, and resistance training. She has worked as a personal trainer for over 12 years. She specializes in functional training and likes to incorporate circuit and interval training into her workouts. She enjoys watching her clients succeed in meeting and exceeding their goals.  Jacey has taught at various gyms around the Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens area. She has a passion for fitness and health and has a strong athletic background. She loves to run and over the last 10 years she has completed several marathons and participated in numerous outdoor activities, such as Triathlons. She enjoys cooking and being active outdoors. She has two children and a very loving and supportive husband.  When you work with Jacey and the walk the path of fitness and health with her, she will make it fun and challenging.

Lital Azran - Group X - Zumba

Originally from Israel, Lital Azran is a group exercise fitness instructor and Zumba instructor for almost 5 years. She enjoys teaching fitness classes, and helping her class participants reach their fitness goals while having fun.  Lital is working towards her Personal Training Certification.  She is Zumba Fitness Certified.

Rita Benza - Group X - Zumba

Certifications:  Zumba, AFAA

Rita grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. She obtained her Zumba Instructor license in 2011. She also teaches Zumba Step, Zumba Gold, Zumba Toning, and Strong by Zumba Fitness.  Her Primary Group Ex Certification is through AFAA (Athletics and Fitness association of America). She is current in her continuing education hours as well as her CPR through American Red Cross in Adult and Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED. She teaches various formats of group fitness including but not limited to HIIT (high intensity interval training), Bootcamp, Cardio Sculpt, Cardio Strength, Tabata, Cardio Core and Tone as well as Circuit Training.

Carolina Wetzel - Group X - Cycle

Certifications: Group Cycle

Lina is a fitness fanatic, she has a passion for anything that moves you! It started when she took her first spin class at the young age of 13! She can still remember the instructor yelling out her name during the last sprint, pushing her to give it her all during those last seconds on the bike. She knew she wanted to spark that fire in others. Fast forward 10 + years and you’ve got a chick who will try any new challenge. From Spartan races to yoga, Jiu Jitsu, competing in CrossFit, weightlifting, and even shaking her little butt in Zumba. She loves to keep her body, mind and spirit on fire. As an aspiring life coach, she believes everyone deserves that burning sensation (on and off the bike!).

Sandra Schneider - Group X - Zumba

Sandra has a medical background and love for dance that allows her to help members improve their overall health. If exercise is a fun experience, people will stick with it. She has incorporated dance into her exercise regimen since childhood. Originally from Puerto Rico, she is a licensed radiologist and certified Zumba fitness instructor.

Norma-Jeanne Byrd - Group X Instructor - Zumba Gold

Norma Jeanne Byrd is Loggerhead Fitness’s Zumba® Gold instructor. She’s been teaching Zumba® classes since 2011, is a certified AFAA Group Exercise instructor and has additional licenses for other Zumba® specialties and Silver Sneakers.

Originally from St. Louis, MO, NJ moved to Captiva Island, FL when she was 19, following a friend and her passion to live on a tropical island. There she developed knowledge and expertise with tropical and native plants which launched her successful 30 year career in environmental conservation. She met her husband, Joe Rosselot, on a visit to Kentucky where they married in 1987 and she worked for The Nature Conservancy (TNC). In 1989, they moved to Hobe Sound, FL when she became the director of TNC’s Blowing Rocks Preserve on Jupiter Island. They’ve lived in Palm Beach Gardens since 2002.

Norma Jeanne has had type 1 diabetes since age 2, proving that disease or illness doesn’t have to hold you back from your dreams and fitness. She has a BA in English from the University of Florida and wrote a successful book for directors of environmental organizations titled Directors Guide to Best Practices. She is an avid reader and in addition to Zumba®, enjoys bicycling, mountain hiking, travel, growing plants and the outdoors.

Nora Lara - Group X - Zumba

From a Caribbean country, Venezuela, and always involved in the dancing world. Nora became a Zumba instructor because one of her passions is to dance. Nora also teaches group fitness and she is working towards receiving her Silver Sneakers certification. Her classes are always a party. She enjoys teaching while building strong healthy bodies!

Beatriz Edrington - Group X - Barre/Mat Pilates

Beatriz is originally from Montevideo, the Capital of Uruguay and has been teaching in our area since 2004. She is certified in Zumba, Pilates, Silver Sneakers and Piloxing. Her daily routine includes regular weight training. She brings leadership, enthusiasm and high energy to all her classes.

Nicole Sedito - Yoga Instructor

Certifications: HATHA Yoga.

Nicole has been practicing and teaching Yoga since 1973 in New York and Florida. She has been teaching at Loggerhead Fitness since 2005. She is certified through the Yoga Teachers Alliance. She also teaches country line.

Elizabeth Bond - Yoga Instructor

Elizabeth has been practicing yoga for 9 years and teaching in the Jupiter area for three. She feels blessed to share these healing practices with the community. Her aim is to help students feel comfortable and confident in their own bodies by improving their physical, mental, and emotional states both on and off the yoga mat.

Marika Stone - Yoga Instructor

Certifications: Krialu Yoga & Thai Yoga Bodywork.

Markia has been a yoga instructor since 1998 and practitioner for eleven years. She is committed to helping people embrace yoga as a regular part of their lives.

Chris Eliades - Yoga Instructor

Chris’ knowledge and compassion for Yoga challenges the strength & flexibility of both the body and mind. He works closely with his students offering a “hands on” approach to proper alignment and adjustments when necessary. Chris’ personal philosophy in life is P.eace L.ove A.warness Y.oga

Marianne Baum - Group X / Yoga

Marianne Baum was always involved in and liked dancing, aerobics and fitness, but when in 2011 she developed a regular yoga practice, she knew she had found a passion for life. Where dance brought her joy, aerobics increased her stamina and fitness had strengthened her, the practice of yoga brought about all three and more. It took her to a deeper level. She immediately knew it was her destiny to share her passion for yoga with others. Within one year she became certified in both Kali Natha Yoga and Hatha Yoga and has been teaching ever since with much passion and joy. While teaching, Marianne mixes different styles that benefit most with a strong emphasis on breathing techniques. She believes that if the whole world practiced yoga, the world would live in peace.

Amanda Bolk - Group X / Yoga

Amanda is a certified yoga teacher and licensed massage therapist, who has been practicing yoga since 2005 and teaching since 2013. She specializes in demystifying the alignment of yoga postures to bring students into the fully beneficial expression of each pose. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology, she believes that yoga is therapy. It gives your mind and your body a break from that which is harmful in your life and restores a sense of clarity and renewal to both. An advocate of holistic healthcare, she is also a dedicated practitioner of Vedic Thai Massage, an ancient form of bodywork that heals the body, mind and spirit through assisted stretching and compression massage along energy pathways: a true prescription for peace and healing.

Kelsey Lindeman - Group X - Yoga

Kelsey is a certified yoga instructor and a Registered Nurse. She has been practicing yoga for 10 years and has felt many benefits from practicing mindfulness and movement. Her intention is to help people relax, either through the feeling of ease after hard work, or through stillness, calm and releasing tension by stretching. She believes that the more relaxed we are, the more of ourselves we can bring to the present moment. She cares about making yoga accessible to all body types and levels.

Michael Dukes - Group X - Cycle

Michael is a personal chef, fitness enthusiast, music aficionado, professional deejay, sales professional, and certified indoor cycling instructor. Certified thru Madd Dogg Athletics, Michael brings over 20 years of music programming experience from the dancefloor into the spin cycle class to elevate your workouts to the next level. He also has over 16 collective years in the fitness industry, and is currently working toward attaining his Certified Personal Training designation thru NASM, as well as the NASM specialization in Corrective Exercise and Golf Fitness training.
