MAT & BALL PILATES
All classes are suited for the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced student. Ball Pilates incorporates the mat exercises with the extra challenge of functional core training on the stability ball. This class is suggested after you have attended the mat Pilates classes and feel you have progressed to the next level.

WHAT IS PILATES?
A program developed by Joseph Pilates to create a healthy body and mind, as well as a healthy life with balance. He believed the mind controls the body and the spirit builds the body. Mat Pilates is a group of exercises performed to create length, strength and flexibility, improving balance, stability and agility.

WHAT IS BALANCE OF BODY AND MIND?

PILATES IS NON-COMPETITIVE. YOU LEARN TO LISTEN AND RESPECT WHAT YOUR BODIES ARE TELLING YOU!!

MAT PILATES

Level I – Basic
Students who are new or fairly new to Pilates Mat.

Level II – Intermediate
Students who have participated in Pilates Mat sessions on a regular basis (2 x 3 times per week) for the last one to three months.

Level III – Advanced
Students who have participated in Pilates Mat sessions on a regular basis (2 – 3 times per week) for the last three to six months.

BALL PILATES
Challenge the core like never before! Pilates using the stability ball and weights, reinforcing the use of body alignment, balance and core control.

INSTRUCTOR BIOS

C.J. Eaton - Instructor Yoga/Pilates

Certifications: AFAA.

CJ has been an instructor for over 31 years, 20 of them at Loggerhead. She teaches Group Cycle, Cardio Fitness and Yoga classes. She is a registered nurse specializing in women’s and children’s healthcare.

Heidi Hendrix - Group Instructor / Trainer

Certifications include: Personal Training / Sports Nutrition & Body Composition / Lifestyle & Behavioral Coaching / Fitness BOOTCAMP / Group Exercise / ZUMBA / ZUMBA TONING / Pilates. Heidi began teaching fitness back in 1986 as a dance instructor. Today she works as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She enjoys encouraging individuals to take charge of their responsibility for their health and wellness and it inspires her to do the same.
